ENTC Educator and Proponent of Students’ Chapter from AISSMS COE Pune honoured with MTRES Teaching Excellence Award 2019

Education plays a vital role in building the future of our nation by transforming lives and communities. We have several educator heroes who help students aim high and achieve their potential, often meeting and overcoming considerable challenges along the way. Recently Delhi based MT Research & Educational Services (MTRES) came up with the second edition of their Teaching Excellence Awards (TEA) 2019, to recognize the monumental role teachers play in our society to create tomorrow’s leaders as they instil a desire to learn and achieve. The awards celebrate the efforts of all those who go above and beyond to promote excellence within our education system. Meet Mr. Nitin  P. Mawale, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, AISSMS College of Engineering, Pune, who has been honoured with Excellent Teacher Award in MTRES TEA 2019.

Mr. Nitin has over 18 years of experience as an educator. He completed his graduation with B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication from Amravati University in 2001. He completed M.Tech. in VLSI and Embedded Systems from Pune University in 2012. He started his professional career as Lecturer in Govt Polytechnic College, Washim, in 2001. He joined AISSMS College of Engineering in 2006 and has been associated with the institute ever since. He currently works as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication.

His area of specialization includes VLSI and Embedded Systems and Digital Electronics. He has published 12 research papers in various journals and conferences. He has supervised 2 PG and 17 UG projects till date. He is a Life Member of various reputed professional bodies like Institute of Engineers, Indian Society for Technical Education and International Association of Engineers (IAENG).

Apart from his teaching responsibilities, he has also actively handled various other administrative roles and responsibilities at the institute. He has been the Student Branch Counselor of Computer Society of India, Students’ Chapter for 6 Years. He has been the Faculty Advisor of Institute of Engineers (India) Students’ Chapter for 8 Years. He has been the Overall Coordinator at Institute level for their flagship National Level Technical Symposium, AISSMS Engineering Today, for 6 Years. He also held the role of Elected Faculty Advisor Member of All India Students Committee (AISC) of Institution of Engineers (India) in Academic Years 2014-15, 2016-17 and 2018-19. He has been the Chairman of Students’ Chapter Committee at Institute Level for 6 Years. He has also served as Paper Setter for Savitribai Phule Pune University.
