They won the Best Running Family 2016 award of Mumbai Road Runners

Anurag Gupta, Malati Gupta and their daughters were recently awarded as the Best Running Family for 2016 by Mumbai Road Runners, a non-profit group of passionate runners whose aim is to promote running in Mumbai. The Guptas had participated in 25 events pan India, clocking 66 race finishes during the course of last year. A regular at the marathon circuit, Anurag's journey in this field started in 2009 when he decided to transform his lifestyle after being diabetic and obese for 6 long years. It is said that one run can change your day, many runs can change your life. The Gupta family swears by it.

Parag Doodhya took up running to overcome kidney disease

Parag Doodhya, from Indore, was 15 years old when he was diagnosed with a kidney disease, Nephrotic Syndrome - a condition wherein large amounts of protein leaks out from blood. He was put up on medicines including steroids for multiple years. By 2015, while the disease was brought under control, Parag had gained lot of weight as a side effect of the steroids. He experienced increased risk of infections, thinning bones, slower wound healing and had acne all over his body. Fast forward couple of years and today, Parag is a transformed 19 year old superfit and confident engineering student who is a regular in Indore marathons. We bring you his fitness success story.

MIT Summit is an annual National Level Inter-Engineering Sports Meet organised by MAEER’s Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune. In its 11th year, the Meet saw participation from 70 engineering colleges from different parts of India with over 3000 students competing across 15 sports disciplines. Around 60 teams participated in the Cricket Championship at MIT Summit this year. Team AISSMS broke the jinx to reach finals after a gap of two years and emerged as Runners-up this year.

Cummings Girls Basketball Team wins MIT Summit 2016

The Girls Basketball team of MKSS's Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune recently won the coveted MIT Summit 2016 Championship, a National Level Inter-Engineering Sports Meet, organised by MAEER's Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune. What makes this win special is that these girls have retained their title as Champions for three years in a row now at the MIT Summit.
