Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of MCAET honoured with MTRES Teaching Excellence Award 2019

Education plays a vital role in building the future of our nation by transforming lives and communities. We have several educator heroes who help students aim high and achieve their potential, often meeting and overcoming considerable challenges along the way. Recently Delhi based MT Research & Educational Services (MTRES) came up with the second edition of their Teaching Excellence Awards (TEA) 2019, to recognize the monumental role teachers play in our society to create tomorrow’s leaders and celebrate the efforts of all those who go above and beyond to promote excellence within our education system. Meet Dr. Sushil Kumar Choudhary, Guest Faculty, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mahamaya College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (MCAET) Akbarpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, which is affiliated to Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (NDUAT) Kumarganj, Ayodhyaya, Uttar Pradesh. He has been honoured with Promising Teacher Award in MTRES TEA 2019.

Research Area of Ph.D.
Title: Modeling and Optimization of Electro Discharge Machining (EDM) Process parameters for Machining of Inconel 600 Super alloy.

In last few years, Inconel 600 superalloy has become an ideal choice for numerous industrial applications, such as, manufacturing the components related to aero-engine, spacecraft, nuclear, chemical, food processing, furnace, gas turbine, fixtures, heat exchanger, roller and hearths, etc. However, the machining process in Inconel 600 superalloy with traditional processes is very difficult due to its poor machinability, high cost and more time consumption.

Many investigations have already been done on the machining of Inconel 600 superalloy with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) using different electrodes (copper, brass, graphite, molybdenum, copper tungsten). However, the effect of tungsten carbide as a tool electrode, on the machining of Inconel 600 superalloy has not been available in the literature. Therefore, machining of Inconel 600 superalloy with EDM using tungsten carbide as a tool electrode has been presented in this work to determine the effect of different process parameters on the various machining performance parameters.

He has also published two books in LAP LAMBERT Academic Publication which is a trademark of Omni Scriptum GmbH and Co. KG, Saarbrücken, Germany.

He would like to become author of Mechanical Engineering related books and would like to continue with his research efforts. He aspires to excel in his career and become an eminent educator and a distinguished administator.

About MTRES
MT Research & Educational Services is an initiative to bridge the gap between academics and industry. It was founded in 2013 with the combination of industry, academic and research personnel. They execute various educational events (Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Short Term Courses, Trainings and Competitions) throughout India. They provide various educational platforms for direct engagement of students, academicians and corporates. They execute internships and placement drives also in colleges. Website.

Demystifying thoughts to predict behavior

Much of what we don't understand about being human is simply in our heads. From those clusters of cells in our head arises the elusive, but powerful, mind. Despite our best attempts to "know ourselves," the truth is that we often know surprisingly little about our own minds, and even less about the way others think. Meet Psychologist Dr. Nitesh Kumar Jha, Clinical Research Officer at INCLEN (The International Clinical Epidemiology Network) Trust International, New Delhi, who has long sought insights into the complex mental processes that dictate human actions, and has made significant strides in lifting that veil of mystery.
