Our economy is based strongly on technology and innovation and research provides the building block upon which societal growth and advancement is hinged. Research has left an indelible mark on society and will forever be the basis for any genuine advancement in human society. Recently Delhi based MT Research & Educational Services (MTRES) came up with Research Excellence Awards (REA) 2019, to recognize the monumental role Researchers play in our society and to recognize the research excellence and contribution of Editors, Reviewers and Authors in their respective domains. Meet one of the awardees, Dr. Sheshang Degadwala, Head of Computer Engineering Department, Sigma Institute of Engineering, Vadodara, who has been honoured with Promising Author Award in MTRES REA 2019.

Dr. Sheshang Degadwala
Dr. Sheshang obtained his B.E. Degree in 2011 from the department of Computer Engineering, BITs, Vadodara. Subsequently, he obtained his M.Tech. Degree From Charusat University, Changa, in 2013 and completed his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Madhav University, Abu Road, Sirohi, Rajasthan, in year 2018. He is associated with Sigma Institute of Engineering, Vadodara, since the last 6 years and is currently heading its Computer Engineering Department.

Title: Privacy Preserving System Using Pseudo Zernike Moment with SURF & Affine Transformation on Dual RST Attacks
If someone is transmitting their private information by using digital watermarking techniques, there are too many chances that they may lose private information because of any kind of external attacks. Dr Sheshang’s research has resulted in developing robust technique with less time and data complexity that provides multi-layer privacy based on QR-Code, Visual Cryptography System and Watermarking. Using pseudo Zemike moment with SURF and Affine Transformation, his novel approach preserves privacy against Geometric Rotation, Scale and Translation attacks and also works for Dual RST attacks. His research has applications in Tampering Detection, Copy Protection, Copyright Protection, Fingerprinting and Broadcast Monitoring.

Awards and Honours
Dr Sheshang has published several research papers in reputed international journals and conferences like Thomson Reuters and conferences including IEEE and Springer. He aspires to continue to focus on his research in the areas of Image Processing, Information Security and Data Mining.
I plan to do Post Doc in the field of image processing in the future.
