Research has left an indelible mark on society and will forever be the basis for any genuine advancement in human society. Recently Delhi based MT Research & Educational Services (MTRES) came up with Research Excellence Awards (REA) 2019, to recognize the monumental role Researchers play in our society and to recognize the research excellence and contribution of Editors, Reviewers and Authors in their respective domains. Meet one of the awardees, Dr. Dipak Gade, Associate Director, Cognizant Technology Solutions India, who has been honoured with Promising Author Award in MTRES REA 2019.

Dr. Dipak Gade
Dr. Dipak is a creative, dynamic and result oriented technology leader with over 21 years of comprehensive Research and Development experience in Electronics, Firmware and Software Engineering. He is having expertise in development of Embedded Software Systems, Functional Safety Systems and Mission Critical Software Systems. He has worked in multiple domains including Aerospace and Defence, Industrial Automation, Mining, Medical and IT.
He has completed his Schooling and Engineering from Maharashtra. He is excellent in academics right from school. He was recipient of Maharashtra State Middle School Scholarship. He stood as Centre Topper in SSC Exam and received Merit Scholarship for his success in SSC Exam. He was also recipient of GATE Scholarship. He has successfully completed Diploma in Industrial Electronics as well as Graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. He is Post-Graduate and Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering.
He started his career as Electronics Engineer with an R&D firm doing business in Microcontroller based products development for Process Control and Automation Industries. At the start of his career, he actively contributed in development of complex products such as Proportionate Temperature Controllers, Densito Meters, DC Drives etc. He was subsequently selected as Probationary Engineer through All India Written Test, in Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a reputed, Defence Electronics PSU of Government of India.
In BEL, he spent more than 5 years in Research and Development department. He was Team leader of an important project which bagged National R&D Award from Department of Science and Industrial Research, Government of India, in 2002. He was also deputed to DRDO Lab in Bangalore for working on various projects related to Defence Systems. He has worked with reputed National and International organizations such as Patni Computers, Schindler Elevators, Rio Tinto, DRDO, IGATE, TATA’s, Konecranes, Capgemini, etc. and has lead, managed and successfully completed various cross functional development projects.
He has extensively worked in defence electronics systems, Embedded Software Systems operating with Real Time Operating Systems, Simulation Systems, Control System Algorithms, Data Analytics, Systems Engineering and some of the niche technology areas. He received numerous Awards and Certificates throughout his professional career where the most notable are National Level R&D Award to his project by DSIR, Wall of Fame Award, Outstanding Professional with Employee Stock Options, IG Software Engineering Excellence Award, etc.
He is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta. He has handled large team (150+) for engineering projects with budget more than 20Mn USD, operating with onsite offshore engagement. He has worked with various international customers and large business groups. For Official projects and assignments, he has visited various countries such as USA, UK, Australia, Switzerland, Israel, etc.
I firmly believe in smart work and value quality rather than quantity. I feel that Customer Focus, Organisational Interest and Personal Commitment are the three important aspects which can make difference and can bring success to your official projects.
Dr Dipak Gade
He has also attended multiple national and international seminars, workshops, trainings and represented his organisation in round table conferences. He has also conducted trainings and workshops for Functional Safety Awareness, HAZOP, Information Security Management, Project Management, Six Sigma Tools and Techniques, ITIL Standard Practices, etc. to train his team members and other stakeholders from his organisation.
He is certified Management Consultant, Certified Intellectual Property Rights Professional, IRCA accredited Lead Auditor of ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems and Internal Auditor of ISO 9001 Standard. He is also Certified ZED Professional, Certified Software Test Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt holder and well versed with tools used for effective planning and monitoring of resources, schedule, Quality Assurance, V&V, assessment of cost and risks associated with complex projects.
He is on Review Panel and Editorial Board for more than 15 international high impact factor research journals where 2 of them are Scopus Indexed Journals. He has authored numerous white papers and 10 research papers so far which got published in high impact factor national and international research journals, UGC Approved Journals and reputed Conference Proceedings. His areas of interests are Machine Learning, Data Analytics, M2M, IOT and Embedded Software Development.
