Kalakriti 2016
As it completed its first year, the group wanted to celebrate its journey in a grand way. The group came up with the idea of setting up of a bigger platform where all the photography lovers of Pune, not limited to PPL alone, can participate and exhibit their pictures. It was also decided to make this event an Annual Event. Thus PPL KALAKRITI – A Mega Photography Exhibition was born.

Kalakriti exhibition was held from 10th to 12th June 2016 at Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery, Ghole Road, Pune. The group was supported by event partners – Primes & Zooms, Mahavir PHOTO Emporium, Sairam Matrix Publication & Media and Radio City.

The event was organized with a nobel cause. PPL partnered with a pune based NGO called PRAYAS that works towards educating the underprivileged children from slum areas. It is indeed very much overwhelming. It is my first ever award. I clicked this photo just outside the Jaisalmer fort. Thank you very much to the PPL team and the organizers for the support they have given. Nishad Mankar, 1st Prize Winner

I joined PPL a month back. Bhupinder and his team have organized a beautiful exhibition for people to know that photography as an art is also important as you can show people what you want to show from your eyes. My photo is about giving space to children to decide about their own studies. Sadiq Dastagir, Honorable Mention winner.

I feel pretty excited. I did not expect this. I love the group, love to click good photographs and I will continue to do that. Mandar Nilange, 2nd Prize Winner

I am excited. This was a huge success. We got a fabulous response from the people of Pune. Thank you to the people of Pune, Thank you to Kalakriti team who has made this dream come true. I hope next year we would be doing bigger than this. Bhupinder Singh Randhawa, Founder, PPL

The Exhibition was a huge success. It received 1000+ visitors and a number of photographers were able to generate leads for sale of their artwork.

The PPL group members are now taking a much needed break by going for a photowalk 🙂

Demystifying thoughts to predict behavior

Much of what we don't understand about being human is simply in our heads. From those clusters of cells in our head arises the elusive, but powerful, mind. Despite our best attempts to "know ourselves," the truth is that we often know surprisingly little about our own minds, and even less about the way others think. Meet Psychologist Dr. Nitesh Kumar Jha, Clinical Research Officer at INCLEN (The International Clinical Epidemiology Network) Trust International, New Delhi, who has long sought insights into the complex mental processes that dictate human actions, and has made significant strides in lifting that veil of mystery.
