Education plays a vital role in building the future of our nation by transforming lives and communities. We have several heroes in the education system who help students aim high and achieve their potential, often meeting and overcoming considerable challenges along the way. Recently Delhi based MT Research & Educational Services (MTRES) came up with the second edition of their Teaching Excellence Awards (TEA) 2019, to recognize the monumental role education plays in our society and to celebrate the efforts of all those who go above and beyond to promote excellence within our education system. Meet Dr. Pushpanjali Patil, Librarian, Suryadatta Institute of Business Management and Technology, Pune, who has been honoured with Excellent Librarian Award in MTRES TEA 2019.
I owe my success completely to my parents and family who have supported me always. They helped me tide over the most difficult and challenging phase of my life.
Dr. Pushpanjali Patil
Dr. Patil completed her Masters in Library and Information Science (MLIS) in 2005. She started her professional career in 2006 at North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. She also pursued higher studies in M.Phil. (2006-2008) balancing her studies with job. She has served as Librarian in various renowned institutions like G. H. Raisoni Polytechnic, Jalgaon; Shree Chamundamata Homoeopathic Medical College, Jalgaon and Shree Chatrapati Raje Sambhaji B.Ed. College, Jalgaon. She joined her current institute, Suryadatta Institute of Business Management and Technology, Pune, in 2017.
I believe Library is one of the core functions of an Educational Institute. Just like how students and faculty are dependent on knowledge for their growth, an institute cannot grow and develop without an efficient Library.
Dr. Pushpanjali Patil
Her interest in Library and Information Science also prompted her to pursue Doctoral Research in this field. She received her Ph.D. from JJT University, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, in 2013. The topic of her research was Total Quality Management in Technical Processing: A study with Special Reference to Engineering & Pharmacy College Libraries in N.M.U., Jalgaon. She has published 9 research papers in reputed journals, published and presented 11 papers in national conferences and 6 in international conferences. She is acting as an Editorial Board Member in various reputed journals as well as Chief Editor in Library Science Journal. She is also Member of IASLIC and KLA Library Associations.
Dr. Patil has rich expertise in implementing the best practices for efficient library management. She has organized multiple book exhibitions, conducted several library orientation programs and brought about innovative process improvements for library users. She has also implemented special initiatives like Best Library User Award for students, Extra book facility for meritorious students and various Book Review competitions. She also guides students in their research work and project reports.
I am really grateful to the support and guidance provided by the Chairman and Founder of our Institution Dr. Sanjay Chordiya and President of SGI Mrs. Sushma Sanjay Chordiya in my professional growth.

MT Research & Educational Services is an initiative to bridge the gap between academics and industry. It was founded in 2013 with the combination of industry, academic and research personnel. They execute various educational events (Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Short Term Courses, Trainings and Competitions) throughout India.
