Thee, label by Manisha Nihalani and Saloni Sardesai, fuses Indian heritage with playful, contemporary vibes

Pune is fast making its mark in the fashion circuit of India. It is home to many creative, talented fashion designers. Many dream of starting their own clothing line and some, actually, turn their dreams into reality. Meet one such talented duo of Saloni Sardesai and Manisha Nihalani, owners of fashion label Thee.

Alumnae of School of Fashion Technology in Pune, they started their career working with a top multi designer store. Manisha also moonlighted as a stylist for fashion shoots. Both of them decided to use their extensive experience gained to launch their own label in 2012 and aptly titled it, Thee – archaic for YOU.

Thee, the label, emerged from a shared philosophy of Manisha and Saloni – a collective reflection of their  thoughts on fashion, which is chic, classic & timeless, every piece has its own identity which narrates it’s ethos.

Brand Thee got off to rocking start, when a beauty contest participant who wore their silhouette won the contest describing the collection as “Chic, classy and comfortable”. Soon Thee was available at some leading multi designer stores like ‘Rudraksh’, Pune & Vadodara, ‘Aura’ in Nagpur, Chattisgarh & Surat, ‘Collage’ in Chennai. This was followed by huge success at some exhibitions in Dubai.

This journey has been fabulous as we loved dressing up every client, the change is gradual with the crowd and as we say be Thee be you – Saloni Sardesai

Four years after its successful launch, Manisha and Saloni are cautious of the fact that their journey has just begun and they are constantly experimenting to evolve their product line. In their words, Thee isn’t about clothes, design, textures or style; It is primarily about people, about YOU.

Demystifying thoughts to predict behavior

Much of what we don't understand about being human is simply in our heads. From those clusters of cells in our head arises the elusive, but powerful, mind. Despite our best attempts to "know ourselves," the truth is that we often know surprisingly little about our own minds, and even less about the way others think. Meet Psychologist Dr. Nitesh Kumar Jha, Clinical Research Officer at INCLEN (The International Clinical Epidemiology Network) Trust International, New Delhi, who has long sought insights into the complex mental processes that dictate human actions, and has made significant strides in lifting that veil of mystery.
