School of Humanities at K.R.Mangalam University, Gurugram, had organized an International conference in Feb '17 with the theme English Language, Literature & Communication: Innovations & Applications in the Teaching – Learning Scenario (ELLCIATLS -2017). Nearly 120 people from all over India and abroad presented their papers that were judged by well experienced subject experts. The thought provoking intellectual sessions lead to very useful interactions and sharing of information. Shikha Sharma, Asst. Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication, won the Best Paper Presenter Award for her research on the role of films as a tool of communication and perception building of masses.

DCIDR - Destiny Centre for Information, Documentation and Research

Pune was always well known for its activities in Marathi Theatre and Hindustani Classical Music. But over last few years, we can see nearly all art forms like dance, painting, fine arts, films and others growing and flourishing in Pune. One of the catalysts, small yet noteworthy, for this change has been a charitable organisation working for the propagation and expansion of performing and fine arts - Destiny Centre for Information, Documentation and Research (DCIDR). Over 60 budding artists have already showcased their talent on the platform of DCIDR and over 200 students from Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi have been benefited from its Workshop series.
